F1 is preparing for the next Grand Prix – the Turkish GP, which has been missing from the calendar for 9 years, scheduled on the Istanbul Park circuit. In the last circumstance in which it was raced on this track Sebastian Vettel won, at the time at Red Bull, while Ferrari in Turkey boasts three wins, all with Felipe Massa, in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Sebastian Vettel himself explains what Istanbul Park means for him: “I am happy to be back here, it is a circuit on which I have very good memories. Here we can say that my career in Formula 1 has begun, because in 2008 with the BMW Sauber I stood out by obtaining the best time in the second free practice session on Friday and then I won here in 2011, in the last edition.”
Vettel also added: “It is a very interesting and beautiful track to drive, with several changes of elevation and some really exciting passages, including curve 8 with its multiple radius: I think even those who have never ridden there will immediately like it a lot”.
