MotoGP: Marc Marquez will only return in 2021. Now it’s official
Hrc and pilot announcement: “With the doctors I decided to delay my return. But I remain optimistic ”
Now it’s official: HRC has announced that Marc Marquez will (hopefully) return to racing next year. “While his recovery continues – he wrote in the usual pre-race press release, Marc Marquez and the Repsol Honda Team confirm that he will not participate in the rest of the 2020 MotoGP season and aims to return to racing in 2021.
Working through his recovery program and monitoring the progress of his arm, Marc Marquez in collaboration with Honda, his team and numerous doctors, has decided to officially delay his return to action until 2021.
At the same time, on his social media profiles, the 8-time world champion wrote: “After an examination of the arm, with the doctors and my team, we decided to postpone the return to next season. Now it’s time to think about recovery. Thank you all for the messages of support. I look to the future with optimism ”.
